Getting
involved with the work of the Lakes Council is as simple
as contacting us about your interests. We have a number
of opportunities for citizens to contribute their time,
talents and expertise:
Organizational Activities: Join one of the Lakes
Council's active committees: Membership, Grants and
Communications. Area residents are needed to work with
board members and staff on active committees. These
committees are advisory to the board of directors and
carry out most of the Lakes Council's organizational
activities.
Research and Education: Monitor lakes, streams
and aquatic invasive species. Volunteer for the Clean
Boats, Clean Waters watercraft inspection program.
Planning: Provide comments on a strategic
plan for prevention and control of aquatic invasive
species. Represent another group you belong to
on a resource committee planning and implementing
collaborative lake protection projects.
